Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum presents Jamaica Rum Tings – Carnival Warmup Party 2014

To close this summer’s Jamaica Rum Tings series Wray & Nephew will be teaming up with friends and acclaimed UK soundsystem Reggae Roast to bring the spirit of Carnival to East London for a unique day and night event at the London Fields Brewery.

Reggae Roast will host a stellar line-up, headlined by drum and bass cult DJ and producer Shy FX, showcasing his first ever reggae album to the East London crowd.

From 12pm Reggae Roast will be kicking off the beats at The Brewhouse, London Fields Brewery. The streets of Kingston, Jamaica will come alive in front of you throughout the day, with a live mural from internationally known, London based, mural artist Jack Murray.

A selection of Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum punches will be available at the bars, including an exclusive rum punch combining Jamaica’s finest, Wray & Nephew Overproof Rum with the London Fields Brewery signature Black Forest Stout. Rum punch sessions will be held between 2pm – 7pm whilst a sizzling jerk BBQ will complete the authentic taste of Jamaica.

From 9pm the evening programme begins with Channel One Sound System kicking off an amazing line up including Vibration Lab, Adam Prescott and Ramon Judah before headliner Shy FX goes back to his Jamaican roots with an exclusive reggae set alongside Stamina MC, following the release of single “Soon Come” from his first reggae album “Corner Stone”.
